Simple Four-Step Tutoring Process

Schedule and meet for a free 30-minute consultation.
First initial tutoring session will include a free pre-screener to determine an individualized tutoring plan.
Students will receive one-on-one mathematics instruction tailored to building grade-appropriate Mathematical concepts week after week.
Begin noticing the difference in your child’s ability to work through and complete Math assignments independently and with newfound confidence.

Tutoring Hours

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Payment

Payment for the month will be due on the first session of each month.
Payment will be pro-rated in case your child begins on a day other than the beginning of the month. Cash or check only please. If paying by check, please make the check out to Blue Door Learning.

Additional Information

No refunds will be given if a session is missed. However, 2 efforts will be made to reschedule.
If a cancellation is needed, please make sure to notify us at least 3 hours prior to scheduled appointment.
Please let us know how you feel most comfortable communicating and discussing your child’s academic growth. Example: In person always, phone calls, text, or email.
Tutor-parent conferences can be scheduled.
A contract will be filled out and signed indicating your understanding of Blue Door Learning’s expectations.
A minimum of one hour per session is requested.
Please commit to at least two sessions per month.
Ongoing parent-tutor communication plays an important role throughout the tutoring partnership.
Formative assessments will be given periodically to gauge student progress and growth throughout the tutoring partnership.

How Can You Help?

Please arrive on time for dropping off and picking up.
Communication/feedback about your child’s academic Math status will be very helpful. For example: Bringing in work that your child is currently working on.
If there are any special requests or specific math skills you would like to have addressed, please make sure to communicate those at least 2 days prior to your child’s upcoming session. Our goal at BDL is to deliver high quality tutoring sessions through our pre-planned and strategically mapped out lesson planned and agendas. “Winging’ a lesson is not an option at BDL!
If meeting after school, make sure your child has had a snack before their tutoring session.
Please help to ensure your child comes with a positive attitude, is willing to try, and is ready to have some fun with Math.
